About Walnutridge Hounds

Dogs have been a huge part of my life since childhood. I grew up with a miniature schnauzer, a wire haired dachshund, and a cairn terrier as my "furry brothers." In the late '80s, I began showing French Bulldogs and owner handled my Champion Honey B's Dreamtime Bit O'Honey to #2 Breed and All Breed standings in her limited show career. Since then, I have owned and loved several breeds but have found Miniature Dachshunds to be my soulmates with their loyal and comical personalities.  My husband grew up with coonhounds, so we settled on Beagles for his breed. I adore our goofy hounds for the laughter they bring to our life.
Walnutridge Hounds is located in the bluffs of Northeast Iowa. Our goal is to produce dogs of exceptional temperament and health that are also nice representatives of their breed. We are committed to helping you find a friend that suits your lifestyle and offer lifetime support to all our puppy families. I enjoy sharing my love of dogs and put my heart and soul into every one of our babies. I work to educate potential buyers to assure a great match for their lifestyle and preferences. We are also willing to refer you to other reputable breeders or discuss other breeds to assure you are getting the best fit for your family.
